Veggie Rub No. 5
This Veggie Rub is a fragrant blend of spices that provides sweetness from the Cassia, heat from the chilli and smoke flavouring from the paprika and chipotle. The Rub is intended to perfectly complement vegetables or meat substitutes. We recommend pairing this rub with roasted potato, squash or it’s great added to hummus. This Veggie Rub is part of our wider Plant-Based Range.
The inspiration behind our Plant-Based Range that was launched in 2019, was that we wanted to create products that really uplifted your veggie and vegan cooking with a focus on the growing flexitarian market.
The range came about after a change in some of their customers’ cooking behaviour. “We kept getting asked if our current ranges were vegan friendly. In short, yes, they are. The ingredients we use are all vegan friendly however the products have always been intended for use on meat with our British Roasts and British BBQ ranges. And the packaging and application reflected that. So, we listened to our customers and quickly realised that there are a lot of highly processed vegan food and people want cleaner and more natural products. So, using our extensive knowledge of spices and flavours we set about designing a range of rubs and dusts to simply complement and lift vegetables and vegetable dishes” said Ross Bearman, founder of Ross & Ross.
The range includes seasonings, oils and gifts linked to our British Roast Dinner Range, where we have created some veggie and vegan roast dinner products.
