Seasonal Recipe Guide: Spring 2022

Spring is finally here! We've been loving the longer days out in the sunshine. Why not use this beautiful turning of the seasons as a chance to revitalise your cooking?
We've collated a few recipes using MUST-HAVE ingredients and dishes for your dining table this season. Not only are they spectacularly delicious, but it is always more environmentally friendly to eat in-season produce.

Bacon Wrapped Asparagus by Wholesome Yum

Everybody loves a bacon wrapped asparagus appetiser. Our local town, Evesham, even holds the annual British Asparagus Festival! We recommend this recipe from Wholesome Yum for a trusty household go-to nibble.

Why not try curing the bacon at home too? We use our Homemade Bacon Curing Kit for adding an extra depth of flavour with the choice of 3 different cures - original, smoky or sweet. Plus it makes a lovely Spring-time, DIY activity!

Salmon and Spring Vegetable Stew by Delicious Magazine

The weather is still fairly temperamental - with colder days aplenty. We're big fans of this heart-warming Stew, bursting with vibrant flavours.

We definitely encourage you to use our Beetroot Salmon Curing Tube to add a wonderful dimension to the dish. Brimming with flavours, we adore this recipe.

Rhubarb Barbecued Chicken by Taste of Home

Finally rhubarb stems are ready to be picked! Though you can't beat a good ol' apple & rhubarb crumble, we were keen to try a more savoury recipe this Spring.

This BBQ Chicken recipe is ideal for encouraging the family to get out into the sunshine. For the BBQ seasoning, we use our BBQ Rub to give it a little kick which adds a wonderful warmth to the food.

Cumin-Roasted Broccoli with Lemon Yoghurt by BBC Good Food

Purple Sprouting Broccoli is now back in-season, and this recipe is ideal for incorporating full-bodied spices and colours into your cooking.

The zingy lemon yoghurt is the perfect pair for the roasted broccoli. However, instead of cumin, we reccommend using our Veggie Rub No. 1. This adds a delightful, fragrant aroma and taste to the broccoli which'll have your dinner guests asking for more!

This panzanella is bursting with seasonal veg, and makes a wonderful side platter on the dining table.
